DOHA, December 2, 2015

Qatar's foreign trade surplus halved from a year earlier to QR12.24 billion ($3.36 billion) in October because of low oil and natural gas prices, preliminary data from the Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics showed.

Exports of petroleum gases and other gaseous hydrocarbons dropped 37.5 percent to QR13.83 billion.

The value of exports dropped to QR22.603 billion from QR33,884 in October 2014. The value of imports rose slightly from QR9.554 billion to QR10.336 billion. - Reuters
