An A- rating from AM Best and Standard & Poor’s has enabled Trust Re to get business that would have been unavailable otherwise, according to the Bahrain-based reinsurance firm’s risk committee chairman Derek Atkins.

“Many ceding companies have internal rules preventing them from dealing with companies with less than an A- rating,” Atkins told the Gulf Daily News, our sister publication, in an exclusive interview.
