CBB offers uncut sheets of banknote for sale

MANAMA, October 28, 2015

The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) has offered for sale to the public uncut sheet of BD5 ($13.1) banknote.
 
The banknote is of the fourth issue of the Bahraini dinar which was initially issued on March 17, 2008 and is still in circulation, said a statement.
 
As many as 500 sheets will be offered with each sheet containing 40 banknotes carrying consecutive serial numbers, it said.
 
The price is BD230 for each sheet.
 
The sale will start on October 29, at the Central Bank of Bahrain Currency Issue Directorate.
 
The Currency Issue Directorate at Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB), said that this will be the third time that CBB is selling this kind of uncut sheets of banknotes, in 2005 and 2012 (half dinar and one dinar) the CBB has put up for sale uncut sheet, which proved to be hugely successful with money collectors and with people interested in the currency of Bahrain. - TradeArabia News Service
