1,000 leaders for Dubai’s global trade event
DUBAI, October 6, 2015
About 1,000 trade leaders from over 100 countries will take part in the upcoming Global Trade Development Week (GTDW), the world’s largest trade facilitation event, being held in Dubai, UAE later this month.
Supported by Dubai Economic Council (DEC), the event will run from October 27 to 29 at Ritz-Carlton DIFC. Hani Al Hamli, secretary general of Dubai Economic Council (DEC), will present a keynote speech welcoming the international delegations to Dubai.
Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, UAE Minister of Economy, who will provide the opening keynote address, said: “Supporting GTDW reflects the UAE’s commitment to promoting the growth of international trade as an engine for growth, peace and prosperity, for not only the UAE, but across the world.”
Al Hamli stated: “We are delighted to welcome to Dubai leading names in trade and industry from all corners of the world. This is an excellent opportunity to engage in dynamic dialogue on international trade – a tool for creating and linking markets that will help drive forward Dubai’s position in the global economy.”
“The dedication to a free and open international trading system has been one of the cornerstones of Dubai robust economic development, and high-level representatives at GTDW are looking to learn from Dubai achievements,” he added.
GTDW 2015 will be addressed by 150 speakers whom are some the most influential leaders driving world trade today.
GTDW features a series of specialized trade summits that link key sectors across international trade; including business, banking, customs, corporate real estate, infrastructure, specialized economic zones, supply chain logistics and transport. Innovation in Global Trade and Economic Development’ is the theme for GTDW 2015, and innovation will underpin discussion in all of GTDW’s six trade summits. – TradeArabia News Service
