FERG, Ajman Police discuss financial crimes

The Foreign Exchange and Remittance Group (FERG), comprising of businesses engaged in money exchange and remittances, has held a meeting with the Ajman Police to discuss areas of future collaboration in reducing the risk remittance and financial crimes.
The meeting, which took place at the Ajman Police General Headquarter recently, discussed a spectrum of issues related to crime prevention and security, said a statement.
The discussion led to agreement on a clear agenda for operational security enhancements.
In addition to this, few other common issues which was faced by the exchange industry in Ajman was been discussed between the two parties during the meeting.
Osama Al Rahma, FERG chairman, said: “We are very pleased to have commenced collaboration with the Ajman Police at the Ajman Police General Headquarters. FERG works diligently towards representing the interests of its members and ensure a transparent, world class remittance industry in the UAE.
“Advocating for security and transparency in all member exchange houses is a key element of our remit. Our meeting with the Ajman Police force has led to consensus on a number of extremely relevant points, and will help increase security for employees and customers alike.”
