Oman swings to $1.4bn Q1 budget deficit

MUSCAT, May 26, 2015

Oman posted a budget deficit of OR544.6 million ($1.41 billion) in the first three months of this
year, swinging from a OR215.4 million surplus a year earlier, provisional finance ministry data showed on Tuesday.
    
Oman's 2015 budget plan envisages government expenditure of OR14.1 billion and a deficit of OR2.5 billion, assuming an average oil price of $75 per barrel.

The state revenues totalled OR2.447 billion in the first quarter compared to OR3.214 during the same period last year.  - Reuters
