Bahrain Bourse to host AFE summit

MANAMA, April 12, 2015

Bahrain Bourse will organise the annual conference of Arab Federation of Exchanges (AFE) later this month, a report said.

The AFE Equities Summit 2015 will be held under the patronage of Central Bank of Bahrain Governor Rasheed Al Maraj on April 22 and 23, in co-operation with Thomson Reuters and the AFE, reported the Gulf Daily News, our sister publication.

More than 350 participants from exchanges, financial market regulatory bodies, brokerage firms, investment fund managers and economic journalists are expected to attend. It aims to help develop Arab financial markets and improve their integration and liquidity. The conference also aims to develop the IPO process within Arab financial markets and increase the awareness of technological advancements.

The AFE's annual conference plays an important role in uniting the leaders of Arab financial markets with regional and international experts.

The AFE board meeting and general assembly will be held in parallel to the summit gathering more than 18 Arab stock exchanges. The summit will serve as a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience in a dynamic environment, and will encourage the transfer of best practices within the region by providing best networking opportunities. – TradeArabia News Service
