Five businessmen representing construction, real estate and small and medium enterprises have told our sister paper Akhbar Al Khaleej that fake commercial registers (CRs) are a reality in Bahrain.

'The number of companies with bogus CRs that have been shut down exceeds 50 per cent of the total CRs in the country and may reach 90 per cent if we add hired CRs. The construction sector alone accounts for 80pc of the total fake CRs,' they claimed. – TradeArabia News Service
