‘Industrial investments vital to Bahrain’s development’

Industrial investments are the strategic cornerstone of Bahrain's economic development and creating jobs, the Premier said yesterday (February 3).
He urged businesses to enter Bahrain's market and set up industrial projects, saying that all doors will be opened for them without any constraints, reported the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
He was speaking as he opened the eighth Gulf Industry Fair (GIF) at Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre.
His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa toured different pavilions and commended the quality of industrial products showcased at the three-day fair, being organised by Hilal Conferences and Exhibitions (HCE). Leading exhibitors from 18 countries are taking part, in addition to Bahrain.
The Premier reiterated the government's resolve to continue developing the industrial sector, pledging further incentives to attract investors and boost the national economy.
"The increasing number of GCC and international companies which chose to establish in Bahrain reflects the government's successful industrial strategy," he said.
He stressed the key role of specialised exhibitions in promoting Bahraini industrial products in local, GCC and international markets, citing in this regard the Gulf Industry Fair, which has established itself as an important platform.
He urged the private sector to build more business and industrial ventures, benefit from latest expertise and trends so as to enable the national economy withstand challenges, particularly the plummeting oil prices.
HCE chairman Anwar Abdulrahman paid tribute to the Premier for patronising the annual GIF, hailing his role as the architect of Bahrain's development.
He described the Premier's keenness to support investments in all fields as a key incentive for companies to take part in the exhibition.
He also hailed the government for supporting all events aimed at boosting the national economy. HCE managing director Jubran Abdulrahman lauded the Premier for his patronage, hailing the government's support as a catalyst that energised the economic development march. - TradeArabia News Service
