Falcon Group appoints new non-executive director

Dubai, August 4, 2014

Falcon Group, a leading alternative global financier, has appointed Dr Nasser Saidi as a non-executive director to its board.

Dr Saidi is the former chief economist, strategist and head of external relations of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and also established the Hawkamah Institute for Corporate Governance and the Mudara Institute of Directors.

He had also served as Lebanon’s Minister of Economy and Trade, as well as the Minister of Industry, and first vice-governor of the Central Bank of Lebanon, for two successive mandates.
 
He is the founder and president of Nasser Saidi and Associates, an economic and financial advisory  company, as well as deputy chair of Eureeca, a crowd-investing platform.

Dr Saidi is also a member of the IMF’s Regional Advisory Group for Mena and co-chair of the OECD Mena Corporate Governance Working Group and chair of the regional Clean Energy Business Council
