Jeroen Reyes Stolker

Barclays appoints key official for Mideast

Dubai, July 10, 2014

Barclays has appointed Jeroen Reyes Stolker as head of Trade & Working Capital for the Middle East region.

Reporting to Baihas Baghdadi, managing director, head of Trade & Working Capital International at Barclays, Stolker will be responsible for leading the trade and working capital business for the Middle East.

He will be supporting clients with their business needs by providing end-to-end trade & working capital solutions.  He will also be the business lead in developing and implementing market leading product capabilities that deliver to client needs and leverage the tremendous product synergies across the Barclays group.

“The Middle East is a fast-growing trade corridor linking the world’s fastest growing markets. The size and growth potential of these economies and the growing number of companies involved in trade within these areas increases the demand for quality Trade Finance and Working Capital services and products. Recognising this growing need, we decided to expand our on-ground team and enhance the support they have from the UK head office,” said Baghdadi.

Stolker joined Barclays in 2007 in Europe and has extensively worked in senior positions at the regional and global levels. Before moving to Dubai, Jeroen was based in Madrid and was leading the business development and product management areas of Trade and Working Capital International. Prior to joining Barclays, Stolker worked at Citibank in London and Madrid.

He has an engineering background and an MBA from the Rotterdam School of Management in The Netherlands. – TradeArabia News Service
