BIBF shines at Boston conference

Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) made a key presentation during the 'International Conference for Academic Disciplines' held recently in Boston.
BIBF faculty member Dr Vijayalaxmi Moovala presented a research paper on the application of 'HR practices in Bahrain' during the event held at the Joseph B. Martin Conference Centre on the Harvard Campus.
Dr Moovala is a senior lecturer at BIBF and the manager of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), UK Programme. She has published a number of papers in collaboration with leading consultancy groups in the field of human resources development.
During the conference, she highlighted the application of human resources policies in Bahrain’s prominent banking sector and indicated that these policies are critical in maintaining a stable and robust sector that can have a greater role in the development of the country as a whole.
Commenting on the participation, BIBF director Solveig Nicklos emphasised the need to enhance and promote national expertise across all business sectors in the interest of positioning the kingdom as a leader in business thought leadership and knowledge.-TradeArabia News Service
