Shuaa added to MSCI Emerging Markets Index

Dubai, May 15, 2014

Leading UAE investment bank Shuaa Capital said it has been added to the MSCI Emerging Markets Small Cap Index.

The Index includes small cap representation across 21 emerging market countries worldwide. The benchmark covers approximately 14 per cent of the free float-adjusted market capitalization in each country.

Shuaa Capital said due to the visible turnaround resulting from the implementation of its strategy, it had been added to the MSCI EM index.

Sheikh Maktoum Hasher Al Maktoum, the executive chairman, said: "As a financial services institution, Shuaa has been at the vanguard of regional market integration into the global capital markets universe. It was the first financial institution that promoted the UAE as a destination of capital, rather than just a source."

"We are now particularly pleased to be included into the MSCI Emerging Markets Small Cap Index," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
