BIBF names new deputy director

Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) has announced the appointment of Dr Ahmed Al Shaikh as its deputy director.
Dr Al Shaikh brings a wealth of experience that will reinforce BIBF's strategy of being the region's foremost business, finance education and training provider, its board and management said.
"I am extremely passionate about education and aim to focus on making BIBF the institute of choice locally and internationally for developing human capital," Dr Al Shaikh was quoted as saying in the Gulf Daily News, our sister publication.
"I hope to see BIBF as the chosen institute for human cadres' development by every organisation and to be an employer of choice. Culture and productivity are also areas I see adding value to BIBF," he said.
Dr Al Shaikh's previous roles include a number of high-profile leadership positions, most recently as vice-president for enterprise and human capital development at Tamkeen.
He has spent more than 16 years in higher education field holding various positions in the College of Business Administration at Bahrain University.
Dr Al Shaikh holds a PhD in Economics, MA in Economic Development from Leicester University, UK. He also holds a Post Graduate Degree in Economics from the University of East Anglia, a BSc in Business Administration from Bahrain University and a Higher National Diploma in Business Administration from the Gulf Polytechnic. – TradeArabia News Service
