Bahrain cbank hosts banking law students

The Central Bank of Bahrain welcomed a group of 27 students studying the Banking law and Practice module of Year II of the University of Wales at the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF).

These students of the Validated Diploma Programme at the BIBF will be traveling to University of Wales, UK in September this year to complete their undergraduate programme on a full time study basis.

Senior officials of the CBB presented topics of current interest and focus namely banking supervision and regulation, financial stability and Islamic Banking to the visiting students who were accompanied by BIBF’s senior faculty members.

The visit concluded with a field tour of the CBB’s currency museum.

CBB supports BIBF’s initiatives to prepare students for the workplace by providing the practical and hands on aspects to academic learning.

Dr Subhadra Ganguli, head of Centre for Banking, BIBF, said: “Field trips to CBB play an important role in enhancing and broadening knowledge, understanding and application of the academic learning in our class rooms. Our students are honoured to be a part of this exclusive training from CBB.” – TradeArabia News Service
