Burgan Bank to sponsor RunKuwait

Leading Kuwaiti bank, Burgan Bank, will be the platinum sponsor of RunKuwait journey, a 200 km self-sufficiency journey from the Northern to the Southern borders of the country.
RunKuwait, which is headed by Yousef al Qanai and the Aymstrong team is scheduled to take place on the Kuwaiti National Days, on February 25 and 26, 2012, and will include several participants including Jaafar Al Ali, athlete in Kuwait National Club and the Aymstrong team of athletes, Mohammed Al Mutar, member in the Kuwait Army, and Bader Al Ajeel, a runner.
Yousef Al Qanai, runner and founder of Aymstrong Enterprises pioneered the idea of event as an effort to promote a sense of determination, and unity within the society and amongst Kuwait’s youth, a statement from the bank said.
The journey will take an estimated time of between 2 to 3 days to complete with 5 to 7 runners participating in this journey towards leading a healthier and wholesome lifestyle.
Participants will meet half-way, precisely near the Kuwait Towers to welcome fans interested in joining the unique journey, and run towards Marina Mall, the statement said.
As part of the sponsorship benefits, Burgan Bank’s employees will enjoy a 25 percent discount by Aymstrong Enterprises for their upcoming programs, which include the Kuwait Weight Loss Camp as well as the fitness camp.
The bank’s staff will have the opportunity to attend the fitness camp thrice a week to lose weight through group training sessions and weight control management. A fitness Day will also will be organised for the employees of the bank at the Australian College of Kuwait, it said.
