Emirates NBD unveils Arabic domain website

Emirates NBD, a leading bank in the region, said it has launched a website with an Arabic language domain name on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the UAE.

The new website, which can be accessed via an Arabic domain name امارات.بنك-الإمارات-دبي-الوطني Bank-alemarat-dubai-alwatani.emarat), will serve as a portal to the bank’s complete range of services.

With this, the Emirates NBD has become one of the first corporate organisations and the first bank in the UAE to launch the website with an Arabic domain name, said the bank in a statement.

The Arabic version has been designed to meet the diverse needs of Arabic speakers among more than one million Emirates NBD customers and can also be accessed through the bank’s existing English language website, it added.

The new Arabic website follows the recent launch of the new enhanced English language website. Both sites feature a wide range of interactive facilities– effectively making this the bank’s largest branch.

“As a UAE national bank, we wanted to mark the 40th anniversary of UAE National Day with our customers, in a way that would directly benefit them, while celebrating our language and heritage,” said Saif Al Mansoori, deputy head – Group Marketing, Emirates NBD.

“The Arabic domain name will extend the reach of the new website to Arabic Internet users and facilitate a wider range of customers to avail of the offers and benefits at Emirates NBD,” he noted.

Seen as a virtual branch, the Emirates NBD website allows customers to access detailed information about products and services such as submitting online application forms and loan and insurance calculators, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, from the comfort of their home or office.

Al Mansoori said, “The website is easily accessible to all Arabic internet users and has been designed as a comprehensive information resource, covering products and services, investor relations, up-to-the minute market rates and reports, and much more."

"The site also has an easy-to-navigate layout, and all information our Arabic-speaking customers need is now at their fingertips,” he added.

Focusing on interactivity and customer convenience, the bank has introduced a tool, known as “Find Us,” which enables customers to make appointments online with bank staff, including members of the direct sales team and customer service representatives, at convenient locations both at and outside bank branches.

This has been further complemented by the introduction of the bank’s new “Click-to-Call” online customer call-back service, he said.

Customers can also identify the nearest Emirates NBD branch or ATM using a new,customised Google Maps feature. In addition, customers can access the website to identify branches that are currently hosting promotions or special offers, he added.-TradeArabia News Service
