Manama, October 11, 2011
The Bahrain Chapter of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (BCICAI) is organising a two-day seminar on 'Resilience of Bahrain's Financial Sector' starting from November 1.
The seminar, to be held at the Gulf Hotel, will attract banking and insurance stalwarts from Bahrain as speakers, who will share their knowledge and experience in the fields of retail banking, Islamic investment and corporate banking and insurance.
The Central Bank of Bahrain is the patron for the event taking place at a time 'when we look for words of wisdom from the leaders in industry', said BCICAI chairman T D Balraj.
'We believe in the continued strength and resilience of Bahrain's financial sector, led by its sound economic policies and effective regulations,' he remarked.
'We strongly feel that this seminar is most relevant in the current situation, which will focus on the way forward and reaffirm Bahrain's pre-eminent position as the regional hub for banking and finance,' he added.
The event is expected to draw more than 500 delegates from the region, most of them senior decision-makers in business, government and society.
Affiliated to the Bahrain Accountants Association, the BCICAI is the largest organised professional body of Indians in Bahrain and has been in existence for more than 12 years.
Apart from reaching out to the Bahrain society, it organises seminars of professional interest to its members.-TradeArabia News Service
