Euromoney, the international finance magazine, has named National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) the 'Best Bank in the Middle East' and the “Best Bank in Kuwait” for 2011 for the second consecutive year.

The awards were presented as part of the Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2011 at a ceremony held recently in Dubai.

“These awards mark a new recognition of NBK's unique and leading position regionally as well as its impressive achievements and management expertise,” said NBK Group deputy CEO Isam J Al Sager.

Euromoney said that NBK enjoys a leading position locally and regionally: “NBK is recognized as the Best Bank in the Middle East and the Best Bank in Kuwait for 2011 in view of its remarkable performance and ability to maintain its leading position in spite of current difficulties for regional and international financial markets. – TradeArabia News Service
