KFH-Bahrain opens new data centre

Kuwait Finance House-Bahrain (KFH-Bahrain), a leading provider of Islamic commercial and investment banking services, has opened a new state-of-the-art data centre in the kingdom.
The purpose-built and scalable dedicated facility makes KFH-Bahrain the first bank to have an in-kingdom virtualization technology which is capable of providing a fault tolerant, dependable and interruption free operation.
The data centre infrastructure is based on an integrated rack, power and cooling solution complete with advanced management and monitoring hardware and software. The data centre will significantly improve overall reliability and accessibility with complete network redundancy, EMC data storage within a VMware virtualization environment.
“The data centre represents a major achievement in our strategy to leverage advanced technologies for the benefit of our customers and to position KFH-Bahrain for future growth. We now have a technology model that, going forward, will improve productivity, enhance reliability and help reduce the impact of the external environment on our operations,” stated KFH-Bahrain managing director and chief Abdulhakeem Alkhayyat.
