Top award for Ahli United Bank

Manama, May 20, 2010

Ahli United Bank (AUB) was voted the 'Best Private Bank in Bahrain' in the Euromoney Private Banking Poll 2010.

It was the only Bahraini bank to be represented in the top five positions.

The poll is widely regarded as the global benchmark for the wealth management industry.

For this year's edition, Euromoney took opinions of 1,800 international private banks on quality and services offered by local and global financial institutions.

The top ranked banks are those that peers judged as providing the widest range of products at the highest level of service, with the greatest degree of success.

'It is gratifying to be recognised by industry experts and peers as the bank of first choice when it comes to private banking in Bahrain,' AUB deputy group chief executive officer private banking Sawsan Abulhassan said.

'The award recognises our track record in delivering strong investment performance for our clients even during challenging times, and is a testament to our constant efforts to provide world-class products and services supported by high standards of relationship management.

'Private banking and wealth management at AUB offers the best of two worlds, a local, familiar bank that caters to clients' distinctive needs, while teaming up with global investment powerhouses to deliver investment strategies that realise clients' desired outcomes across the risk return spectrum,' she said.

'Our local presence in eight markets gives the ability to cater for our expanding client base and provide them with tailor-made investment and wealth management solutions.'

AUB currently operates out of eight countries in Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Iraq, Oman Egypt, UK and most recently Libya.-TradeArabia News Service
