HSBC named best research house in Mena

Manama, March 18, 2010

Institutional Investor magazine has named HSBC as Best Research House in the Middle East and North Africa (Mena) for the third year running.

The award is given by an international audience of institutional investors. HSBC has one of the most comprehensive equity research offerings in the region, with a 15-strong team based in offices in Cairo, Dubai and Riyadh, providing 'strong, comprehensive coverage', according to the magazine.

'Investing in emerging markets can be a bumpy ride,' said the magazine. 'Investors require on-the-ground, in the trenches guidance from analysts who can alert them to the risks and the opportunities in these often volatile markets.'

The HSBC research team is part of a comprehensive Mena equities platform that covers the full spectrum of activities from brokerage and trade execution to Equity Capital Markets advisory to clearing and settlement.

HSBC's research team covers more than 80 stocks on 10 exchanges in the region.-TradeArabia News Service
