CFA Bahrain names new board

CFA Bahrain, the kingdom’s pre-eminent association for local investment professionals, has announced its new board of directors.

CFA Bahrain, part of a global network of over 136 affiliated professional societies affiliated to CFA Institute in 57 countries and territories, has appointed a host of well known and highly respected professionals from within the local banking and investment industries, as well as from the academic community.

The new members of the board are:
• Khalil Nooruddin, CFA, president 
• Lamees T Al-Baharna, CFA, vice president
• Palani Alagappan, CFA, treasurer
• Sowmya V. Ramkumar, CFA, member
• Sachin Swrikar, CFA, member
• Iftikhar Ali, CFA, member

“We continue to be involved in every aspect of the investment community here in Bahrain, working alongside our charterholders and members to help drive a number of important initiatives.  This includes promoting the very highest professional standards and ethics, investor education, investor protection and investment standards of practice, amongst others,” said Khalil Nooruddin, president of CFA Bahrain.
