Barclays UAE wins Banker ME Award

Barclays UAE has won the 'Best Retail Marketing Campaign' award in the Banker Middle East Product Awards 2009.

“Receiving this award is a great accolade indicating the success of our multiple marketing campaigns geared towards serving our retail customer needs,” stated Michael Miebach, MD of Barclays Global Retail and Commercial Banking in the Middle East and North Africa.

Barclays UAE launched its retail services in mid 2007. During 2008 Barclays drove the franchise to a record growth with a variety of successful, highly visible and effective brand and product focused campaigns. Barclays was also the title sponsor of Barclays Dubai Tennis championship in 2008.

In 2008, Barclays successfully executed multiple marketing campaigns for premier banking, payment cards, loans, mortgages and liability businesses.

The Banker Middle East Product Awards ceremony is held on an annual basis and awards are given out to multiple categories such as retail, commercial, brokerage and investment banking.-TradeArabia News Service
