Manama, November 18, 2008

Gulf Air has entered into a strategic alliance with Bahrain Islamic Bank (BiSB) whereby the airline’s frequent flyer members can earn miles while using the bank’s credit cards.

“Our Frequent flyer programme, which was launched more than a decade ago, has grown from strength to strength and we are delighted to enter this winning partnership with the first Islamic commercial bank in Bahrain for the benefit of our mutual customers,” said Gulf Air chief strategy officer, Tero Taskila.

“Customers are the winners here as they earn miles with our award-winning FFP programme when they use the Bahrain Islamic Bank credit card services.”

The agreement also makes BisB the first Islamic bank to join an airline FFP programme.

“Through this partnership we seek to forge ties of co-operation and provide all the facilities and services to our esteemed customers. We hope that both sides will benefit every one and such co-operation will ensure advantages that will satisfy our customers,” added Bahrain Islamic Bank general manager retail banking, Abdul Rahman Mohamed Turki.-TradeArabia News Service
