Manama, September 15, 2008
Mind-mapping guru Tony Buzan will address a one-day seminar in Bahrain next month. Gulf Training Solutions (GTS) and the Bahrain Society for Training and Development (BSTD) have teamed up to promote the programme.
The seminar will be held at the Diplomat Radisson SAS Hotel, Residence and Spa on October 28, said a report in our sister publication, the Gulf Daily News.
A memorandum of understanding was signed between GTS and BSTD to promote the seminar, by selling tickets at BD500 per person, BD475 per person for groups of five or BD450 per person for groups of 10 or more.
The ceremony was attended by BSTD president Hussain Ismail, GTS director Saqib Tapal, corporate marketing manager Sandipan Sarkar, BSTD public relations and media director Essam Al Alawi and international relations director Gopika Beri.
Buzan will lecture on how mind-mapping improves people's thinking skills, for optimal performance.
'This unique workshop will be highly interactive and inspiring, during which participants will master the world's best thinking tool,' said Tapal.
'The emphasis will be on learning how to mind map and how to use it in the business context.
'It is designed as an accelerated learning programme and whole-brain experience with extensive post-course support.'
Buzan created mind mapping, which is now heralded as one of the world's most effective thinking tools.
He has worked with governments, Olympic athletes, global businesses, academics and high profile individuals, to help them train their brains, improve their memories and unleash their mental capacities.
Buzan is the author of 100 books in more than 30 languages and the creator of the World Memory Championships, which are being held in Bahrain for the second time next month.
He lectures all over the world on the techniques of mind-mapping.
