GBCorp names new department head

Bahrain-based Global Banking Corporation (GBCorp) has appointed Khalid Al Jaber as head of compliance.
Al Jaber is a banking and finance specialist in Sharia-compliant banking with in-depth management and compliance expertise.
With nearly 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, he brings a wealth of knowledge and financial skill to GBCorp.
His exceptional career and training qualifies him as a specialist in applying Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) rulebook requirements for Islamic banks, anti-money laundering and combating financing of terrorists.
'As head of compliance, I look forward to working with my team to ensure all business is fully Sharia-compliant and that GBCorp operates in a risk-free environment,' he said.
