TGA adds two bus routes connecting Kuwait border crossings to Saudi airports

The Transport General Authority (TGA) announced the addition of two new passenger bus routes for travellers arriving in Saudi Arabia by land from Kuwait through Al-Khafji and Al-Ruqai border crossings.

The routes serve passengers travelling by air through King Fahd International Airport in Dammam or Qaisumah International Airport, as well as travellers returning to Kuwait through those airports.

The move is intended to give travellers more transport options, make travel easier and connect the Kingdom’s border crossings with Kuwait to its airports, reported Saudi Press Agency.

The TGA said it added the routes to expand transport options, ensure transport services are available and establish direct links between the border crossings and the airports.

The first route links Al-Khafji border crossing with King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, while the second links Al-Ruqai border crossing, east of Hafr Al-Batin Governorate, with Qaisumah International Airport.

Each route will operate six direct daily trips in both directions, bringing the total number of scheduled daily trips to 12.
