Banyan Tree Spa Samui has been named “Best Spa Resort – Thailand” at The Luxury Spa Edit Global Spa Awards 2026, following evaluation by spa and wellness experts, travel journalists, sustainability specialists, and more than 85,000 public votes.
The award recognises the spa’s holistic treatments and use of natural products such as locally sourced coconut oil.
A highlight of the spa is The Rainforest, its signature hydrotherapy experience featuring water jets, saunas, steam rooms, ice fountains, and whirlpools.
The recognition coincides with the launch of the Banyan Tree Spa 2.0 concept, which blends ancient Asian wellness traditions with nature.
Guests now receive personalised consultations and custom-blended herbal massage oils tailored to their wellbeing needs. New ritual elements—including Palm Touch, Sound Healing, Breathwork, and Tibetan chimes—enhance treatments.
Sessions conclude with tea and a purifying foot ritual using Himalayan salt and herbs. Signature therapies include the Sukhothai Heritage Massage, the Royal Banyan massage, and the Rainforest Indulgence hydrotherapy and massage journey.
