ASRY wins top honours at Saudi Maritime Awards 2026

Arab Shipbuilding and Repair Yard Company (ASRY) has been named the best Ship Repair Yard at the Saudi Maritime Awards 2026 ceremony in Jeddah. 

Founded in 1977 in the Kingdom of Bahrain, ASRY is the Gulf region’s most experienced maritime repair and fabrication facility. Its leading range of facilities includes a 500,000 dwt dry-dock, two floating docks of 252m and 227m in length, 15 repair berths with a total length of 5,000m, twin 255m slipways, and a full range of workshops and service centres.

The top honour recognises ASRY’s leading role in ship repair and maintenance sector, and the range of services it provides to meet high technical and operational standards, as well as its its ongoing commitment to operational excellence, safety and innovation, and its support for sustainability in the maritime sector, said the company in a statement.

The event brought together leading figures from the region’s maritime, shipping and logistics industry, alongside a number of ASRY managers. 

Marine pilot Mohammed Salah Imran attended as the representative of participants in the ‘ASRY Ambassadors’ programme.

The award was received on behalf of ASRY by Wael Mirza, the Post-Sales and Commercial Affairs Manager. 

On the key recognition, ASRY Deputy CEO Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa said the award adds to the company's record of achievements and strengthens its standing as a leading maritime hub with an international footprint.

ASRY, he stated, will keep investing in developing national talent, adopting modern technologies and building expertise that supports the growth of the maritime and industrial sectors in the Kingdom of Bahrain and beyond.

ASRY’s operates in four sectors – Ship Repair & Conversion, Rig Repair & Conversion, Naval Repair & Conversion, and Fabrication & Engineering– which combined cover all types of vessel repair including jack-up rigs and other offshore assets, as well as fabrication of onshore and offshore industrial components.-TradeArabia News Service
