During the official visit of Nikos Christodoulides, President of the Republic of Cyprus, to Bahrain, and in the presence of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the two governments to strengthen cooperation in the tourism sector.
The agreement was
signed by Fatima Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism, and Dr Constantinos Kombos,
Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus, reported BNA.
Minister Al Sairafi
highlighted that the MoU marks an important milestone in boosting economic ties
through tourism, by creating a framework to enhance tourist exchanges, promote
joint participation in industry events, and increase the visibility of Bahraini
and Cypriot businesses in regional and global markets.
She added that the
agreement paves the way for future partnerships between public and private
sectors in both countries to develop tourism projects and explore business
opportunities.
It also encourages sharing expertise, market
research, and collaboration on tourism products of common interest.
The MoU also aims to
coordinate efforts in international tourism forums, enhancing both nations’
roles in global tourism initiatives.
