Bahrain's iGA adds 14 new eServices to its MyGov app

Bahrain's Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) has added 14 new eServices to the MyGov app, available through the eGovernment App Store.

Among the new additions are the Personal Bill Payment service, introduced in cooperation with the Electricity and Water Authority (EWA). It allows users with multiple accounts to complete their payments in one single step.

With this, the total number of eServices and features offered since the app’s launch in February 2025 has risen to 111.

iGA Deputy Chief Executive of Electronic Transformation Ali Abdulaziz Janahi said: "This update builds on the iGA’s continuous efforts to enhance the MyGov app and expand its offerings."

"Our aim is to strengthen the app’s role as a national digital platform, complementing the National Portal bahrain.bh and giving citizens and residents convenient access to a wide range of government services in one place," he stated.

To further support humanitarian and charitable initiatives, several new features were introduced, including the “Fael Khier” service in partnership with the Ministry of Interior.

The app now also offers zakat and donation payments, along with mosque and Ramadan majlis locations, along with prayer times, Qibla direction, daily moon phases, and both Gregorian and Hijri calendars available on the app’s main page.

These updates were introduced in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments.

Janahi said: "In collaboration with the General Directorate of Traffic at the Ministry of Interior, users can now update their mobile number and email address directly through their MyGov app profile. To make digital health services more accessible, the app allows users to view their vaccination records, report of missing vaccination records, and download vaccination documents in collaboration with Primary Healthcare Centers, as well as view athletes’ health certificates in cooperation with the government hospitals."

"These additions come alongside a wide range of other features already available on the platform," he stated.

Since its launch in February 2025 and up to October of the same year, MyGov has been downloaded more than 640,000 times, reflecting strong public engagement and growing reliance on the platform for completing government transactions, he added.-TradeArabia News Service
