Warwick hotel opens in Baghdad

Warwick International Hotels Group (WIH), a global hospitality company, recently added Baghdad to its portfolio with the launch of the Babylon Warwick Hotel in the capital city of Iraq.

Located on the edge of the Tigris River opposite of the US embassy, the hotel has been fully renovated to meet the international five-star hotel standards.

The 300-room hotel will benefit from the group’s recognised experience in managing high standard hotels and resorts throughout the world.

The hotel includes four duplex suites and extensive facilities such as indoor and outdoor olympic swimming pools, a spa, a fitness centre, tennis courts, three conference rooms, six restaurants and a Cigar bar.

Over the last two years, WIH has built a strong network in the Middle East region and now counts eight hotels under management contract. The group’s ambition for the region is to reach a network of 15 hotels by 2016, said Jamal Serhan, vice-president and CEO for WIH in the Mena Region. – TradeArabia News Service
