Muslim World League launches new museum in Makkah

The International Fair and Museum of the Prophet's Biography and Islamic Civilization in Makkah has announced its the trial operation, a report said.
 
The museum is a major addition to the Muslim World League's (MWL) network of institutions dedicated to Islamic heritage, said the Saudi Press Agency report.
 
MWL Secretary-General Sheikh Dr Mohammed bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa toured the museum's diverse and innovative sections, and announced the trial operation.
 
The museum, housed in the Clock Towers complex, consists of over 30 sections featuring more than 200 visually engaging and interactive displays in five languages.
 
With the help of the latest technology, these exhibits explore the Prophet's biography, emphasising its enduring values and serving as a model for ethical living.
 
A key aim of the museum is to counter narratives of extremism that misrepresent Islam, particularly in relation to the Prophet's life, the report said.
 
he exhibits highlight the Prophet's teachings and the rich heritage of Islamic civilization, drawing from established sources, scholarly works, and peer-reviewed research, it added.
