DW Travel revenue up 65% as travel demand surges

DUBAI, February 22, 2024

DW Travel, a UAE leading travel management company, said it has posted a 39% year-over-year growth in sales in 2023, and a 65% year-over-year increase in revenue, reflecting its ability to capitalise on emerging opportunities and meet evolving customer demands.

Bader Ahli, Director of DW Travel, said that the company witnessed a surge in gross sales, with a remarkable 55% increase in sales for 2023 compared to pre-pandemic levels in 2019.

This substantial growth is indicative of the strong customer demand for both business and leisure travel, reflecting a renewed sense of confidence and enthusiasm among travellers, he said.

Ahli said: “One of the standout successes of 2023 was the performance of DW Travel's Visa Services Department, which experienced a 141% increase in transactions in only its second year of operation. Underscoring the company's expertise and effectiveness in providing essential travel services to its diverse clientele”.

Moreover, 2023 witnessed the introduction of DW Travel's VIP and Luxury department, catering to discerning clients seeking unparalleled travel experiences.

With personalised service and exclusive access to luxury accommodations, transportation, and experiences, such as private tours, chartered flights, and VIP events, the VIP team has quickly established itself as a premier provider of high-end travel experiences.

In addition to expanding its service offerings, Ahli informed that DW Travel expanded its client base by signing 31 new corporate clients in 2023, further solidifying its position as a trusted partner for businesses seeking comprehensive travel solutions.

DW Travel also invested in consumer brand awareness in 2023, launching a new and improved brand identity across various marketing channels, including travel roadshows and exhibitions, social media, branded brochures, and PR opportunities.

This strategic initiative contributed to a significant increase in leisure holiday sales, with sales doubling year-on-year.

The top-selling destinations for holiday travel in 2023 included the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Thailand, Switzerland, Turkey, and Germany. Meanwhile, trending destinations included Poland, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Indonesia, and India, reflecting evolving travel preferences among consumers.

As the company gears up to celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2024, Ahli said: “We will continue to build on the strong foundations of our business across Corporate Travel, Leisure Travel, our Visa Services and VIP departments.

“In 2024 we are committed to continuing our digital transformation journey, with a focus on automation to support our operations team.

“By leveraging cutting-edge technology and innovative solutions, DW Travel aims to further enhance efficiency and deliver unparalleled service to its clients. Our focus is on expanding DW Travel into the global marketplace by continuing to grow and innovate in new business verticals, as well as expanding our international partnerships.” – TradeArabia News Service
