Bahrain ‘keen to boost tourism job opportunities’

MANAMA, Bahrain, June 19, 2023

Bahrain is keen to promote job and investment opportunities provided by the tourism sector to Bahraini female students, entrepreneurs and businesswomen, said Fatima bint Jaffar Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism.

This includes job opportunities in various departments of tourism establishments, such as administration and accounting, as well as in companies specializing in organizing entertainment events, travel agencies, and others, she added during her visit to the Royal University for Women (RUW) and met Professor Yusra Mouzughi, RUW President and the University's Board of Trustees.

 Professor Mouzughi provided an overview of the programs, achievements and future plans of RUW.

They exchanged ideas on promoting the inclusion of youth in the growing tourism sector, with a particular focus on women.

The minister praised the vision and mission of the RUW in graduating generations of pioneering Bahraini students across diverse academic fields.

She encouraged the university's students and graduates to explore business opportunities within the tourism sector and establish innovative projects and companies offering unique products and services in various fields.

The minister emphasized the tourism sector’s welcome for the new generation of Bahraini women. She highlighted numerous success stories of pioneering women who have established their own establishments, such as restaurants and more.

She expressed her confidence in the exceptional capabilities of Bahraini women across various sectors and fields, she affirmed their potential to excel in the tourism sector.

The members of the Board of Trustees of the RUW, along with the university's administrative staff, extended their appreciation for the visit of the minister.

Professor Mouzughi emphasized the RUW’s commitment towards education advancement, with the objective of guaranteeing its mission to empowered female leaders. She affirmed the significance of Minister Al Sairafi’s visit, serving as an exceptional occasion to underscore the university's commitment to fostering societal engagement, aligning with Bahrain's Vision 2030, and establish a prominent platform for the promotion of positive role models. – TradeArabia News Service
