Bahrain extends suspension of Dubai, Sharjah flights

MANAMA, February 27, 2020

Bahrain's Civil Aviation Affairs (CAA) has announced that, effective immediately, it has reduced the number of incoming regional flights and has extended the suspension of all flights arriving from Dubai and Sharjah for an additional 48 hours. 
 
The CAA has also announced the suspension of all flights to and from Iraq and Lebanon until further notice, effective immediately.
 
The CAA urged all citizens and residents of Bahrain who are currently in areas affected by the Coronavirus (COVID 19) and who were planning to return to the Bahrain to call the following number +973 17227555.
 
All arrivals to Bahrain International Airport suspected of infection will be tested and, if found to be suffering from the condition, are immediately transferred to designated centres for isolation and treatment, it said.
 
This decision has been taken in order to safeguard the health of the kingdom’s citizens and residents, it was quoted as saying by a Bahrain News Agency report.
 
The e Civil Aviation Affairs stressed the need to adhere to established international health guidelines administered by the Ministry of Health in order to combat COVID-19.
