Gulf Air welcomes chairman and members of ABTTA

MANAMA, February 19, 2020

Gulf Air, the national carrier of Bahrain, recently welcomed the chairman of the Association of Bahrain Travel and Tour Agents (ABTTA) Jehad Amin and members of the association to the airline’s headquarters in Muharraq.

Guests from ABTTA met the airline’s executive management headed by its chief executive officer Krešimir Kučko as well as deputy chief executive officer Captain Waleed Al Alawi, chief commercial officer Vincent Coste and members of the commercial division at Gulf Air.

Gulf Air’s team has presented its commercial strategy for the year 2020 and discussed ways of further strengthening the relationship and the two-way collaboration between the national carrier and the travel agents’ community in Bahrain.

During the meeting, Kučko said: “We value our longstanding relationship with ABTTA and our colleagues from all travel agents and tour operators in Bahrain. As we expand our fleet and network, we continue our strong affiliation with our sales partners to grow together and strengthen the travel industry in the Kingdom of Bahrain."

Amin said: “We are very pleased to have met with Gulf Air’s top management and the commercial team. They have painted a portrait on where our national carrier is at, the positive results it has achieved, and where it is heading as it evolves into a boutique airline. On behalf of all ABTTA members, I reassure Gulf Air our continuous support for mutual benefit and the benefit of our national economy."

The airline recently announced its 2020 expansion plans with a number of European destinations: Milan as year-round with daily flights and Mykonos, Munich, Malaga and Nice as seasonal destinations – all starting from summer 2020. Moreover, on the Eastern side of Gulf Air’s hub, Kuala Lumpur will be launched in July 2020 with daily flights operated by the Dreamliner and Salalah, seasonally, in the summer. Gulf Air will continue its fleet modernisation programme in 2020 and will receive the final three Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners of the 10-aircraft order and will take deliveries of the brand new Airbus 321neo aircraft. - TradeArabia News Service
