Bahrain airshow boosts hotel occupancy rate

The recently concluded fifth edition of Bahrain International Airshow has increased the occupancy rate by 20 per cent in four- and five-star hotels, said the chief executive officer Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA).

“The Kingdom has witnessed an economic surge in tourism facilities such as malls, restaurants and local cafés during the event, added Shaikh Khaled bin Humood Al Khalifa, applauding the success of the event held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain.

Shaikh Khaled expressed his sincere congratulations to the Personal Representative of HM the King and chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee, HH Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, on the success of hosting the Bahrain International Airshow, which witnessed a remarkable success and unprecedented public presence.

"The Bahrain International Airshow is a great opportunity to showcase the Kingdom as a tourist destination capable of hosting the world's largest event,” he said.

Shaikh Khalid further reiterated the importance of such international events and exhibitions in driving an increased number of tourists to Bahrain and bolstering its competitive position.

 Shaikh Khaled that the success and growth of Bahrain International Airshow over the years positions the Kingdom as a prime destination for meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions (MICE). – TradeArabia News Service
