Qatar Airways boosts Muscat service

From August 1, Qatar Airways will provide travellers from around the world with even more choice when flying to Muscat, with the addition of an extra flight to its existing schedule – increasing the number of daily flights to five.

Now with 35 flights a week from Hamad International Airport travellers can easily expore the popular Omani capital city.

Passengers travelling from Muscat will also have increased access to the rest of the world, with the ability to connect through Hamad International Airport and enjoy award-winning facilities, such as Qatar Airways’ Al Mourjan Business Class Lounge while connecting to more than 150 destinations.

Qatar Airways senior vice president commercial GCC, Levant, Iran, Iraq,Yemen, Africa & Indian Sub Continent Ehab Amin said: “Both Doha and Muscat are popular cities that offer business, cultural and leisure opportunities to travellers. The additional flight is a response to increased demand on this popular route, and offers our passengers more convenience thereby empowering travellers with the ability to choose flights that are best suited to their unique requirements.

Qatar Airways’ new flight to Muscat will depart from Doha at 2.20am, arriving in Muscat at 5am, with the return flight departing from Muscat at 6.45am and landing in Doha at 7:25am.

The airline operates services to Muscat with its A320 aircraft, offering both its award-winning Business and Economy Class options to passengers.

This year travellers will continue to see Qatar Airways expand its global reach, with the addition of new destinations to explore. So far in 2016, the airline has launched routes to Los Angeles (US), Ras Al Khaimah (UAE), Sydney (Australia), Boston (US), Birmingham (UK), Adelaide (Australia), Yerevan (Armenia), Atlanta (USA) and Marrakech (Morocco).

From July, new routes will include Pisa (Italy), Sarajevo (Bosnia), Windhoek (Namibia), Helsinki (Finland), Skopje (Macedonia), Krabi (Thailand), Seychelles, and Chiang Mai (Thailand). - TradeArabia News Service
