Bahrain airport to close car park B facility

MANAMA, June 27, 2016

Bahrain Airport Company (BAC), the managing body and operator of the Bahrain International Airport, is set to close the Car Park B facility for carrying out construction works related to the new passenger terminal building starting from July 28.

This comes as part of the Airport Modernisation Programme (AMP) being implemented by the BAC.

It is the largest infrastructure project for the Bahrain International Airport in over 30 years and is being executed in line with the highest standards of safety, security, technology and environmental standards, said a statement from the company.

Once completed, the airport will be able to handle nearly 14 million passengers, it stated.

BAC has recently opened the overflow car park along Galali road and is aiming to commission a new overflow car park during the summer holidays, to increase the airport’s existing parking capacity by over 4,000 spaces and accommodate the expected surge in passenger movement during the summer period.-TradeArabia News Service
