New car park services to be unveiled at Abu Dhabi airport

ABU DHABI, May 6, 2015

Abu Dhabi Airports has named Al Musbah Group as the new parking concessionaire responsible for a range of airport services including baggage wrapping, the airport service centre and airport parking.

The Abu Dhabi International Airport and Al Bateen Executive Airport will see improvements and additional services ranging from a premium car cleaning to a higher level of customer service from newly trained staff, said a statement.

All automated payment machines at Abu Dhabi International Airport will be equipped to accept credit cards, and a new tariffs schedule is being implemented, it said.

The investments and upgrades throughout the facility are underway to enhance customer comfort and ease of use throughout the airport experience.

Al Musbah’s subsidiary, Mawqif, will operate the parking services and has big plans for the coming year at the capital’s airport gateway, which includes a car spa offering detailing and polishing service and enhanced valet parking service.

The passengers using Terminal 2 and the city check-in terminal will be able to protect their luggage with the new ‘Quickwrap’ baggage wrapping service.

In addition, a new retail bag and luggage accessory ‘Xplora’ shop is now open in Terminal 1 and will open shortly at the city terminal to offer a wider range of travel products.

Daniel Cappell, acting chief commercial officer at Abu Dhabi Airports said: “Al Musbah has the expertise and commitment to excellence we look for in all of our partners. With unrivaled experience of operating at other airports in the region, I am confident their services will help our passengers to enjoy superior attention to detail and service. We are very excited about all the planned enhancements to the airport’s car facilities.

“They reflect our commitment to using the best services available to deliver an outstanding experience, as more and more passengers chose Abu Dhabi International Airport as their final destination or transit hub.”

Andrew Perrier, director of Business Development at Al Musbah, added: “Abu Dhabi International Airport is the gateway to UAE’s capital city and we are extremely pleased to be bringing our expertise and planned enhancements to strengthen the experience at this world class airport. Customer service is our top priority and we are confident we will be raising the bar and exceeding passengers’ expectations with our new offerings.” - TradeArabia News Service
