Glosanté, a new integrated chain of clinics, has been launched in Dubai offering global travellers a one-stop-shop for mandatory and general medical services including vaccinations, travel advisory and health screening.

“Many countries require that travellers receive specific vaccinations before arrival to prevent infectious medical conditions. At Glosanté, we help travellers with preventive care for travel, coping with health conditions and administration of specific vaccinations if any, prior to travel. We aim to capture 15-20 per cent of travel healthcare market in major cities wherever we will be present,” said Dr Raman Sodhi, CEO, Glosanté.

He added that Glosanté will open in 10 countries across Asia, Middle East and Africa by 2015 with 52 centres in these geographies at an estimated investment of $100 million.

In addition to its focus segment of travel healthcare, Glosanté will also offer preventive healthcare services to general public and in certain countries or geographies specialty services in case of requirement, said Dr Sodhi.

“We believe that we will be addressing a significant gap in the healthcare sector, particularly in relation to travel and preventive healthcare which is our core focus. At a time when a variety of communicable diseases are being reported across the world, governments are keen to ensure quality measures to curb the spread of these infections and Glosanté, by virtue of its focus will act as a partner to them in driving prevention,” he said.

In 2015, Glosanté clinics will open in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah in the UAE, while across the Middle East and Asia it will have its presence in Jordan, Bahrain, Egypt, India, Pakistan, Indonesia, South Africa, Philippines and Algeria. – TradeArabia News Service
