Conrad Dubai, a stylish haven located on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai, UAE, is celebrating its first anniversary with top hospitality awards and increasing number of guests.

The 58-storey hotel with 555 rooms boasts six remarkable restaurants and bars for its discerning guests. The hotel, belonging to the luxury tier of Hilton Worldwide’s group portfolio, has won seven hospitality awards, a testament to its successful first year.

These accolades include ‘Middle East’s Leading New Hotel’ at the World Travel Awards; ‘Best Business Hotel’ at Mena Travel Awards; ‘Best New Hotel’ at the Middle East Hotel Awards; and the ‘Certificate of Excellence Award’ by TripAdvisor.

General manager Andreas Jersabeck said: “We are delighted that we’ve built excellent brand awareness in our inaugural year and our month-on-month performance continues to see an upward trajectory. To have received so many accolades in such a short space of time, I only have my 700-strong team members from 70 nations to thank. Each of them takes the time to understand the wants, needs and desires of our guests that make their experiences exceptional and unique.”

Of the 144 nationalities which visited the hotel in the last year, Saudi Arabia topped the charts in terms of occupancy figures and Kuwait was the other notable GCC nation. The UK led the international visitor figures, with US and Germany not far behind. The Indian subcontinent produced strong results but two continents, which were particularly notable in visitor numbers, were Africa and Australia because of the stopover popularity with the Qantas and Emirates airlines partnerships, the hotel said.

Recent records showed leisure travellers made up 37 per cent of the business, corporate business travellers 26 per cent, and 25 per cent are Mice bookings. – TradeArabia News Service
