The Frankfurt-based Steigenberger Hotel Group will bring its top-end German hotel experience to Egypt beginning with the existing Cecil Hotel in Alexandria coming under its management with immediate effect.

Additionally, the Hotel Tahrir Square in Cairo will operate under the Steigenberger name from July 2016.

This latest expansion will increase the number of Steigenberger establishments in the country to seven.

The Steigenberger Hotel Tahrir Square will have a total of 295 rooms including 12 suites, five conference rooms, a large banquet hall, a gym and beauty spa facilities.

The 86-room Steigenberger Cecil Hotel is an existing property located on the Mediterranean Coast which offers three à la carte restaurants, three bars, meeting rooms and a gym.
