Gemfields, a world-leading supplier coloured gemstones, has launched a unique experiential pop-up at The Dubai Mall, showcasing the beauty of Zambian emeralds and Mozambican rubies.

Visitors will be invited to step inside the giant emerald structure and encouraged to take the ‘ultimate selfie’. The pop-up will also feature interesting facts about the gemstones, with the aim of generating further awareness of coloured gems and responsible sourcing within the sector.

Gemfields is the operator and 75 per cent owner of both the Kagem emerald mine in Zambia (believed to be the world's single largest producing emerald mine) and Montepuez ruby mine in Mozambique (one of the most significant recently discovered ruby deposits in the world), as well as bulk sampling licences in Ethiopia, amongst others.  

Coloured gemstones should be mined and marketed by championing three key values - legitimacy, transparency and integrity, a Gemfields statement said.
