City Centre partners with Air Arabia for rewards programme

SHARJAH, May 3, 2019

City Centre Sharjah and City Centre Ajman have expanded their successful collaboration with Air Arabia this year by launching an exclusive rewards programme with a range of exciting benefits for regular shoppers.

The three-month-long initiative will allow frequent shoppers at the mall to collect Air Rewards points on every Dh5 ($1.36) spent until July 31. A grocery haul of just Dh75 ($20) at Carrefour can get customers a hot meal on their next flight with Air Arabia or points collected from the purchase of Dh450 ($122) summery outfit for their next vacation can go towards free baggage allowance or a seat upgrade with the airline.

Shoppers also have the benefit of using their Air Rewards points at any time even after the campaign has ended, said a statement from leading retail and leisure pioneer Majid Al Futtaim.

Under this scheme, the malls will reward customers with 1 Air Rewards point for every Dh5 ($1.36) spent at any of the stores and dining outlets. These points can then be exchanged at any time for Air Arabia products and services, including air tickets, baggage allowance and meals, it stated.

During the three-month campaign, a lucky shopper will also get selected through a draw for the grand prize of 1,000,000 Air Rewards points ($10,000) which the winner can spend on airline tickets for an unlimited period, it added.

Fuad Mansoor Sharaf, managing director for Majid Al Futtaim properties, shopping malls (UAE, Bahrain & Oman), said: “Our four-year fruitful partnership with Air Arabia has evolved into a more rewarding loyalty programme for customers this year. For the first time, Majid Al Futtaim shopping malls have introduced a long-term spend and win points system that will benefit regular customers visiting City Centre Ajman and City Centre Sharjah.”

Shoppers can register for the Air Rewards programme at City Centre Ajman and City Centre Sharjah when they make their first purchase during the campaign, he added.-TradeArabia News Service
