MoreTech unveils blueprints for new ‘smart’ products

MANAMA, June 10, 2015

Two Bahrain-based students are seeking to revolutionise the country’s smartphone market with a brace of high-tech products.

Serial entrepreneur and MoreTech founder Baland Rabaya, 18, has joined forces with 14-year-old British School of Bahrain student Dragan Verton, who is now the company’s chief executive, to design a wireless charging system and colour-changing phone, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

They unveiled blueprints for the products yesterday at a launch event held at the K Hotel in Juffair.

A working prototype and full specification list for the company’s third phone, the MoreTech Stream, was also showcased.

Rabaya has appeared in the GDN previously after unveiling plans for three smartphones – all at the tender age of 17.

His new colour-changing creation, designed in collaboration with Dutch youngster Dragan, will be called the MoreTech Chameleon and is scheduled for release in January 2016.

The wireless charging unit, which promises users the ability to charge their phones up to 10 metres away from the dock, is set for release at the same time. - TradeArabia News Service
