Oman's OQ wins top Bentley digital infrastructure award

Bentley Systems, a leading global provider of comprehensive software solutions for advancing infrastructure, has announced that a key infrastructure project from Oman - OQ Upstream - has won big at its 'Going Digital Awards in Infrastructure' 2022 ceremony held recently in London.
The Omani project, 'OQ Asset Reliability Digitalization with Purpose' was declared winner under the Process and Power Generation category.
OQ, state-owned integrated energy company in Oman, was one of three finalists in the 2022 Going Digital Awards in Infrastructure in the Process and Power Generation category.
The annual awards programme honours the extraordinary work of Bentley software users in advancing infrastructure design, construction, and operations throughout the world.
The finalists presented their projects at the 2022 Year in Infrastructure and Going Digital Awards event in London before global press and 11 independent jury panels.
The jurors later determined the winners of the 12 award categories from 36 finalists, who were shortlisted from over nearly 300 nominations submitted by more than 180 organisations from 47 countries.
The other finalists who won the top awards in various categories include:
• Bridges and Tunnels: Ferrovial Construction and Alamo Construction for IH35 Nex Central Station in San Antonio, Texas, US.
• Construction: Acciona for Safely Removing Dangerous Level Crossings through Digital Construction in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
• Enterprise Engineering: Mott MacDonald for Smart Object Library for the Environment Agency in the UK.
• Facilities, Campuses, and Cities: Sydney Airport for Maps@SYD in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.
• Geoprofessional: Mott MacDonald for Driving Efficiency and Sustainability in Material Reuse through GeoBIM in Birmingham, West Midlands, UK.
• Grid: PowerChina Hubei for Full Lifecycle Digital Application in Wuhan Xudong 220kV Substation Project in Wuhan, Hubei, China.
• Rail and Transit: PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) for Integrated High Speed Rail & Station Jakarta – Bandung in Jakarta, Indonesia.
• Roads and Highways: Waka Kotahi and FH/HEB JV, Beca for Takitimu North Link in Tauranga, Western Bay of Plenty, New Zealand.
• Structural Engineering: WSP for Unity Place Delivered with Optimised Design by WSP Using Innovations from Bentley in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, UK.
• Surveying and Monitoring: Singapore Land Authority for SG Digital Twin Empowered by Mobile Mapping in Singapore.
*Water and Wastewater: Jacobs and PUB, Singapore’s National Water Agency for Singapore’s National Water Agency in Singapore.
In addition to the Going Digital Awards in Infrastructure winners, Bentley CEO Greg Bentley highlighted the Founders’ Honors in his plenary session at the awards ceremony.
The Founders’ Honors are chosen individually by the Bentley founders from the hundreds of Going Digital Awards nominations received.
