Birla Carbon names new digital, information head
MUMBAI, July 3, 2021
Birla Carbon, a leading global supplier of carbon black and one of the flagship businesses of Indian multinational conglomerate Aditya Birla Group, has announced the appointment of Madhavi Kanumoory as its new chief digital and information officer.
A leading provider of innovative sustainable carbon black solutions, Birla Carbon has its footprints extend across 12 countries with 16 manufacturing facilities and two technology centres in Marietta (US) and Taloja (India).
Its products enhance the performance of paints and coatings, inks and toners, plastics, adhesives, sealants, textile fibers, mechanical rubber goods, and tyres.
In this new role, Kanumoory will be responsible for all aspects of the company’s digital and information technology, reporting to John Loudermilk, Chief Operating Officer.
Before joining Birla Carbon, she served as the chief information officer at Healthcare Global Enterprise based in Bangalore, India.
Prior to this, she held various leadership roles at General Electric Company, Bell Helicopter and Zeon Chemicals in the US and India.
A holder of Bachelor of Engineering degree, from the National Institute of Engineering, Mysore, India, Kanumoory specialises in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
She will be joining the company’s senior management team and will be based at the Birla Carbon office in Mumbai.
